The Faculty of Environmental Sciences

Brief History

The Faculty of Environmental Sciences was established as a new faculty at the beginning of 2013/2014 academic session with five (5) departments, having met the requirement of the NUC resource verification exercise conducted in September 23, 2013.

The Faculty has carried out its mission in undergraduate programmes research & developments; and, is laying foundation for, in the nearest future, consulting activities, professional training, graduate programmes and international cooperation.

The faculty will continue to develop existing programmes, while introducing new ones. Recently the departments in the Faculty recently paid host to a accreditation team from the National University Commission (NUC) for the assessment of facilities and other resources.  We are very proud to have made impressive outing in the visitation. All the five programmes in the Faculty have secured resource verification approval.

We are also proud of our accomplished faculty and staff.  Each member of our staff is dedicated to serving the university and our students.  We are committed to lifelong learning, serving as a hub for partnerships and promotion of proven and promising practices in teaching, research and community service since commencing our programmes in 2013, we have recorded some achievements.

The FES programme are rooted in the University of Ilorin mission of providing a world class environment for learning, research and community service.
